Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 September 2026
This policy explains what information Sorio Studio collects through soriostudio.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can tell us to do with it. Sorio Studio is a marketing consultancy owned and operated by Christina DiFerdinando in Washington State.
The short version. We only get information you choose to give us, by filling in a form, joining our email list, downloading something, or booking a call. We use it to reply to you and to send you marketing you can stop at any time. We count visits in a way that cannot identify you. We do not sell your information, we do not use advertising cookies, and we do not follow you around the internet.
Information you give us
If you fill in a form. We collect what you enter, which may include your name, your email address, your firm's name, your role, and whatever you write in a message box. You choose what to put in.
If you join our email list. We collect your email address and any name you give, and we record when and where you signed up, because we have to be able to show that you asked to hear from us.
If you download a guide or resource. Some materials ask for an email address before you download them. If you give it, we send you the material, and unless you tell us otherwise we may add you to our email list. The page will say so before you submit.
If you book a call. Our scheduling runs on Calendly. What you type into Calendly goes to Calendly first, under their privacy policy, and reaches us as the person you are meeting. We use it to prepare for, hold, and follow up on that call.
Information we collect automatically
Anonymous visit statistics. We use Plausible Analytics to count how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they click. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect or store anything that identifies you personally. The numbers we see are totals, never individuals. Plausible stores its data in the European Union.
Standard server records. Our host, Netlify, automatically records routine technical information when a page loads, such as the address that requested it, the browser used, and the time. This is ordinary web-server logging, it happens on every website, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not record your screen, your mouse movements, or your typing.
- We do not use services that try to identify you or your firm by name from your visit.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. If you submit a form or join our list, the tool handling that may set a cookie needed to make the submission work. Because we set no non-essential cookies, you will not be asked to accept a cookie banner here. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to the site.
Why we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and to arrange and hold a call.
- To send you a resource you asked for.
- To send marketing emails about our services, where you have signed up or where you are an existing business contact and the law allows it. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand, in totals, how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep records, meet our legal obligations, and protect the site from abuse.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing emails, on our legitimate interest in running and improving a business for anonymous site measurement, and on the steps needed to enter a contract when you ask us about working together.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We do use outside companies to run parts of our business, and they handle your information on our instructions only. These are our website host, our scheduling tool, our analytics provider, and our email marketing and CRM system.
We are still choosing our email marketing and CRM provider. When that is settled this section will name it.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our people, or the security of the site.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and call records are kept while we are in contact and for up to three years afterwards, so we remember conversations we have had. Email list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Server records are kept on our host's normal schedule. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Unsubscribe from our emails, using the link in any email or by asking us.
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything wrong.
- Ask us to delete what we hold.
- Ask us to stop using your information for marketing.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
Email christina@soriostudio.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
If you are in California
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. The categories we collect are set out above. Use the email address above to make a request.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area
You have the rights described above, plus the right to object to processing, the right to restrict it, the right to receive your information in a portable form, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States, where we operate. Where that transfer needs a legal safeguard, we rely on the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can see it and using reputable providers. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
