Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Sorio Studio collects through soriostudio.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can tell us to do with it. Sorio Studio is a marketing consultancy owned and operated by Christina DiFerdinando in Washington State.

Information you give us

If you fill in a form. We collect what you enter, which may include your name, your email address, your business name, and whatever you write in a message box. You choose what to put in.

If you join our email list. We collect your email address and any name you give, and we record when and where you signed up, because we have to be able to show that you asked to hear from us.

If you download a guide or resource. Some materials ask for your name and email address before you download them. If you give them, your details are stored in our CRM, GoHighLevel, and we send you the material by email. Unless you tell us otherwise we may also send you occasional follow-up email about our work, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link.

If you unlock the free resource library. When you unlock the free resource library, we store your first name and email in Kit, with a note that you joined the library and which page you signed up on. Unlocking the library also subscribes you to Out of Office, which you can leave at any time.

If you join the course waitlist. We collect your first name and email address, your last name if you give it, the date you joined, and which link brought you to the page. After you join, we ask a few optional questions about your business, where your time goes, and how you use AI. If you answer, we keep your answers with your signup. Your signup and your answers, including anything you type in your own words, are stored with Kit, our email service, which is based in the United States, so the course emails fit where you are. We use this to confirm your place, to email you about the course, and to decide what to teach first.

If you book a call. Our scheduling runs on Calendly. What you type into Calendly goes to Calendly first, under their privacy policy, and reaches us as the person you are meeting. We use it to prepare for, hold, and follow up on that call.

Information we collect automatically

Anonymous visit statistics. We use Plausible Analytics to count how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they click. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect or store anything that identifies you personally. The numbers we see are totals, never individuals. Plausible stores its data in the European Union.

Standard server records. Our host, Netlify, automatically records routine technical information when a page loads, such as the address that requested it, the browser used, and the time. This is ordinary web-server logging, it happens on every website, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Fonts. Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

What we do not do

• We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
• We do not record your screen, your mouse movements, or your typing.
• We do not use services that try to identify you or your business by name from your visit.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. If you submit a form or join our list, the tool handling that may set a cookie needed to make the submission work. Because we set no non-essential cookies, you will not be asked to accept a cookie banner here. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to the site.

When you unlock the free resource library, your browser keeps a small cookie called sorio_library that only says this browser has access. It holds no name or email and lasts one year. If you clear it, enter your email again to unlock.

When you join the waitlist, your browser tab briefly keeps your first name, email address and a one-time code, so the follow-up questions can be matched to your signup. It is cleared when you send your answers or close the tab, and it is never shared. The same code is kept with your signup in Kit, and it stops working once you answer or after 24 hours.

Why we use your information

• To answer your enquiry and to arrange and hold a call.
• To send you a resource you asked for.
• To send marketing emails about our services, where you have signed up or where you are an existing business contact and the law allows it. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand, in totals, how the site is used and improve it.
• To keep records, meet our legal obligations, and protect the site from abuse.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing emails, on our legitimate interest in running and improving a business for anonymous site measurement, and on the steps needed to enter a contract when you ask us about working together.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We do use outside companies to run parts of our business, and they handle your information on our instructions only. These are our website host, our scheduling tool, our analytics provider, the database where we keep signups, our email marketing and CRM system, and our newsletter service.

Our email marketing and CRM system is GoHighLevel. When you ask us for a guide or a resource, your name and email address are stored there and it is GoHighLevel that sends you the material. GoHighLevel also holds the course waitlist records made before 22 October 2026, which we keep there as an archive on the same retention as everything else here.

Course waitlist signups are stored in Kit, which sends you the course emails, together with your answers to the optional thank-you questions. Signups made from 22 October 2026 until the waitlist moved fully to Kit are also kept in Airtable.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, Out of Office, your first name, last name and email address are stored in Kit, our newsletter service, which is based in the United States. Kit sends you a welcome email when you subscribe, and then each issue. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our people, or the security of the site.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and call records are kept while we are in contact and for up to three years afterwards, so we remember conversations we have had. Email list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Your waitlist answers and signup details (the date you joined and the link that brought you) are kept, including after you unsubscribe, to help us understand our audience and plan the course. Ask us and we will delete them. If you stay on our email list, your name and email address are kept until you unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you. Server records are kept on our host's normal schedule. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

• Unsubscribe from our emails, using the link in any email or by asking us.
• Ask what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything wrong.
• Ask us to delete what we hold.
• Ask us to stop using your information for marketing.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

Email christina@soriostudio.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

If you are in California

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. The categories we collect are set out above. Use the email address above to make a request.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area

You have the rights described above, plus the right to object to processing, the right to restrict it, the right to receive your information in a portable form, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States, where we operate. Where that transfer needs a legal safeguard, we rely on the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can see it and using reputable providers. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.

Changes on the date at the top: we added the free resource library. Unlocking it stores your first name and email in Kit and subscribes you to Out of Office, and your browser keeps a cookie that says it has access, as described above. The waitlist form on the Accelerator page now asks only for your first name and email address, so your last name is optional.

Earlier change, 29 October 2026: course waitlist signups are now stored in Kit only, and the answers you type in your own words are kept in Kit too. Before this change those typed answers stayed in Airtable and were not sent to Kit.
